Kidepo NP Celebrates 50th Year
Kidepo Valley National Park, one of the most remote National Parks in Uganda located in the North Easterly region, is celebrating 50 years of National Park status this year. There are plans within the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) to celebrate the milestone with a Golden Jubilee year!

The Maryland Zoo of Baltimore has honored Gorilla Doctors Director Dr. Mike Cranfield with the 2012 Michael D. Hankin Award for Conservation. Named for the former Chairman of the zoo’s Board of Trustees, it was created in 2005 to be awarded to individuals who continue the legacy of conservation, volunteerism and philanthropy.
