Carol was born and raised in Uganda where she has spent the vast majority of her life, but with strong connections in Rwanda as well. After attaining a Bachelors degree in Tourism from Makerere University in Uganda, she ventured into the hospitality industry. In 2003 Carol reached a turning point and successfully began her career at Volcanoes Safaris. She started from the bottom but through hard work and Volcanoes program of local capacity building and empowerment, today she is proud to be one of the main core managers running the company. Over the years she has been involved in many areas like sales, different aspects of management, operations and she has just recently been nominated Uganda sales manager. Carol is honoured to be part of the responsible and sensitive ecotourism vision of Volcanoes Safaris which is aimed at supporting the local communities,  protecting great apes as well as supporting conservation.
