Gorilla Parks Remain Safe for Tourists

There have been reports of instability near Virunga National Park in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This does not affect travel to the gorilla parks of Southern Uganda and Rwanda (Bwindi, Mgahinga and Parc National des Volcans) where travel is proceeding normally. The gorillas' parks are stable and gorilla tracking continues normally. The governments of Uganda and Rwanda have reinforced security in the area.

Volcanoes Safaris is monitoring the situation and will inform clients and agents of any developments.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries.
