Volcanoes Safaris is happy to remind you the opening of new scheduled flights that will make the rare mountain gorillas more accessible to tourists than ever before!

In Uganda, Air Kenya has launched new scheduled flights within the country that will drastically cut the travel time of guests travelling between Kampala and our lodges and greatly improve the experience as well!

The new ‘flying safaris’ are available on a selection of our private itineraries. On top of dramatically reducing the travelling time, the stunning views over the landscape of Uganda will offer incredible photographic opportunities.

Also, On 15 December Coastal Aviation and Fly Uganda will team up to operate daily flights between Kilimanjaro, Manyara, the Serengeti and Entebbe, linking from there to Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi and Kidepo. Coastal Aviation will run the international flights, while Fly Uganda will take charge of the internal transfers.

The morning east-bound Fly Uganda flights will pick passengers from Ugandan National Parks to Kajjansi and fly out of Entebbe with Coastal Aviation at 1pm to the Serengeti. The morning west-bound Coastal Aviation flight will pick up passengers from Kilimanjaro, Manyara and The Serengeti arriving in Entebbe at 12:15pm to clear customs and immigration. They will then continue with Fly Uganda to Uganda’s National Parks.

In Rwanda, Coastal Aviation now offers a connection between Rwanda and the savannah plains of Kenya and Tanzania! Coastal will connect daily from the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara to Mwanza where flights depart at 17:00 to Kigali. Return flights from Kigali to Mwanza leave at 6:00 in the morning, ensuring guests have the opportunity to maximise their time in Kenya and Tanzania.
