There have been recent press reports on tension in Somalia between Kenyan forces and Somali insurgents. As far as the situation in Uganda and Rwanda is concerned the situation remains unchanged. The activity in Somalia is geographically very distant from Uganda and Rwanda.

Travel in both countries is proceeding normally and clients are continuing with their safaris. The governments of Uganda and Rwanda have taken steps to strengthen security in their countries and the situation is calm and there is no reason for clients not to proceed with their planned safaris.

Volcanoes Safaris is monitoring the situation and will release updates as required. Clients should also check the consular advice provided by their governments.

Please do get in touch with your safari consultant if you have any queries.
