Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary on Lake Victoria
is located on a beautiful forested island and is home
to approximately 40 chimpanzees rescued from poachers.
The semi-wild environment allows for close viewing
of the animals in their natural habitat. Optional extra:
a day’s forest walk with the mischievous chimps
as they play in the forest (full or half day on payment
of supplement at time of booking). Clients are responsible
for having a number of vaccinations and tests done
in advance before they can be allowed to participate
in the forest walk. Please ask for detailed information.
On safari clients stay 2 nights at Ngamba Island Camp.

Day 1
Briefing on your safari. Boat from Entebbe pier to Ngamba Island. Depending
on time of arrival, a choice of activities on Ngamba - feeding the chimpanzees,
or bird watching. O/N: Ngamba Island Camp. (FB).
Day 2
Choices of activities as on day 1. For those who have had the required
set of medical inoculations, a forest walk with the chimps is a unique
experience. The playful chimps climb on you, pull your hair, or just
walk along holding your hand! (Clients must have specific up to date
vaccinations for this activity, which is restricted to three people at
any one time, and should ask for further details before booking). O/N:

Day 3
Boat transfer to Entebbe in time for your flight.
