Update on Uganda gorilla permit price change, 3 June 2011

BIF-gorilla4-GB10.JPG

Some weeks ago there were reports that the Uganda Wildlife Authority would be reducing the price of gorilla permits from US$ 500 to US$ 350 during the low season months of May, October and November.

We have not received detailed information on how the sales for these permits will operate and how many permits will be available under this scheme. In the absence of such information and to avoid any misunderstandings with clients and agents, Volcanoes Safaris will continue to charge US$ 500 for each gorilla permit purchased by clients tracking in Bwindi National Park until further notice.

When the situation has been clarified we will circulate a further update.

There are no proposed changes to the price of gorilla permits in Rwanda, which remain at US$ 500 per permit throughout the year.

For further information please consult a Volcanoes Safaris Sales Consultant.
