Mount Gahinga Lodge is a charming, magical property, inspired by traditional design and build techniques, reflecting the aesthetic traditions of the Bufimbira people. We are delighted the lodge has received recognition in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards recently, as the 5th best safari lodge in Africa! The lodge is the perfect base for your gorilla trek, with access on foot from the lodge up into the Mgahinga National Park, where the wonderful Nyakagezi gorilla family live, led by a Silverback called Mark.
