Strategic Action Plan for Uganda’s Large Carnivores

Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust were delighted to sponsor and participate in the 2023-2033 Uganda Wildlife Authority Strategic Action Plan for Uganda’s Large Carnivores, held in Kampala in May. Representatives attended from Ugandan Wildlife Authority, Wildlife Conservation Society, World Wildlife Fund, Makerere University and many other private and not-for-profit organizations attended. During the workshop, speeches from experts Dr Arjun Gopalaswamy, a specialist in tiger conservation, and Peter Lindsey, Director of the Lion Recovery Fund offered insights into the major threats and potential solutions for African lions and other carnivores in Uganda.
