Upgrading of the bandas (rooms) at Virunga Lodge, Rwanda.

We are delighted to announce the upgrading of the existing eight bandas at Virunga lodge. Two bandas have already been completed and by May 2015 we will have refurbished them all. With material from local artisans and Rwandan based cooperatives, the rooms now blend traditional Rwandese designs and fabrics with modern tinges. Each room will also have a fireplace built to keep our guests warm in the mountains! The artefacts in the bandas are hand made, from the wicker lights and hand stitched bedcovers to the hand thrown pottery umbrella stands and light bases.
