Volcanoes Safaris Kyambura Research Centre hosts the Kirugu HIV Widow Association

On the 4th January 2024, The Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust (VSPT) Kyambura Research Centre hosted the Kirugu HIV Widow Association for a community guidance and sensitisation session. 

The Association, led by Chairperson Varry Kebirungi from the Ugandan Ministry of Health, congregated to offers the community members living with HIV an opportunity register their HIV diagnosis, collect medication and attend counselling on the importance of a balanced diet, gaining loans from the Ugandan government and information on the medicine they require. 

VSPT were honoured to host the Association at the Kyambura Research Centre. We hope that the knowledge gained from the session will help to enrich the livelihoods of local community. The Kyambura Research Centre will continue to host community and conservation meetings.
