Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust team competes in Wildlife Ranger Challenge
We laced our boots, loaded our rucksacks, and ran in support of Africa’s Wildlife Rangers!
The Wildlife Ranger Challenge is the world’s largest celebration of solidarity, support and fundraising for Wildlife Rangers. Across the continent, rangers from 24 African nations and supporters from a further 90 countries joined in to raise awareness and secure vital funding with Africa’s rangers.
Volcanoes Safaris staff from our lodges and offices included Gerald Kasirye, Esme Stewart, Hillary Byamugisha, Francis Kiwanuka, Saidi Kakuru and Allan Muzungyo who teamed up to complete the challenge of running 21km whilst carrying 22kg!
Congratulations to the Kidepo Valley National Park Rangers who strode to victory! Thank you to the Uganda Wildlife Authority and Uganda Conservation Fund as organizers of the event.
